Life Updates
LoLCreatives posted in her blog - and I thought I should post in mine. I've had a lot going on in my life in the last 9 months and writing in a blog has not been a priority.
I joined a gym last June and took up running again. I'm back down to the weight I was in high school (maybe a few pounds lighter actually...) I'm running the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge on June 24th in Boston. It's a 3.5 mile race. I'm hoping/expecting to be able to finish in <40 minutes (unless it's super hot or something.) To gear up for the race I'm 2.5 weeks into an 8 week fitness contest at my gym. They kick my butt every week and give me lots of homework to do - like 4 hours of cardio a week, and it's really effective.
I pestered my boyfriend into running the race with me. We ran last weekend - and I think I almost broke him.
I got a community garden plot this summer. I've planted ridiculous number of things - garlic, onion, beets, carrots, peas, peppers, tomatoes, a little broccoli and collard greens, along with some basil and cilantro. Don't forget lettuce and spinach as well.... I think I might have gone a little over board. But hopefully at least some of it will grow.
Work is going well - it's been really crazy - hopefully I'll be able to say more in a few weeks. Plus I convinced a guy I really didn't like working with that it would be a good idea to quit b/c he really didn't enjoy working here. That made my day.
