This is embarrassing to admit

I usually talk to someone just about everyday. Sometimes it's like twice a week, sometimes everyday. It works for us. Don't judge. No questions allowed either. I haven't talked to him in a couple days. Tonight, he asked me "Are you okay?" My thought was, hmmm, didn't burn myself glassblowing tonight (though I did burn some hairs off my arm...), made a fancy vase, I'm not driving in traffic anymore... "Yeah, why?" "Hmmm I don't know, we just haven't talked in a while."

I thought about it, and it's probably been more like 5-6 days. Then I was like, I wonder why it's been so long? Hmmm, and I was like, OMG I've been avoiding everyone for like a week because all of my free time has been spent reading books.

Not just any good for you literature should have read these in high school English kind of books. Oh no, these are angsty teenage vampire books. That's right Lauren - I read Twilight (thanks for sending it!!!) and got obsessed. Quickly. I've spent just about every free minute from Friday after work on - reading about angsty teenage vampires and sometimes werewolves. It was too embarrassing to admit. How do I explain that I've given up everything good in real life to get obsessed with reading about high school angst, and vampires? Awkward. I made up some lame excuse about how I've been busy doing things (like reading about angsty teenage vampires.)

I freely admit that I love Harry Potter. Harry Potter is social acceptable. This however, is for some reason, slightly over the line of things I'll admit to doing instead of real life. Somehow, Harry Potter and all the magical fairy tale weaving - get to think about the complexity in the LOST kind of way made it better. The Twilight series is SOO entertaining, I haven't been able to put them down. But there's not really much complexity to the story; you know what's going to happen next. There's no real surprise endings. It's kind of like a John Grisham novel - except the other books actually have a slightly different plot. But they're the same style of entertainment reason - really easy, really fast, highly entertaining.

Let's just put it this way, I'm about half way through the series now, and I'm pretty sure I know how it's going to end. This is not literature people. It's pure entertainment.

So good to read. So embarrassing to admit to.
