Interesting
Here's an interesting perspective on why one person thinks you should vote for the democratic ticket. It is something to consider. Healthy well balanced relationship. I don't know if their relationship is better or worse than the McCain's - but they sure do communicate differently, and are much more open. I'm not sure if that is always a good thing or a bad thing, but it is definitely something to ponder. I think openness is better in most cases. Michelle seems genuinely interested in her husband and cheers him on. But it doesn't feel like she is doing is blindly; she offers advice to help Barrack improve; he seems to listen to her. It does seems like a model healthy relationship.
I saw a couple of movies this weekend. The Dutchess with Kira Knightly, and Eagle Eye with Shia LaBoeuf. The dutchess was super depressing in a life doesn't always turn out okay; shit sucks and you have to deal with it. I felt sad after - and I was way buzzed during the entire movie. I guess two hours of drinking b/c you got there too late for the first showing is probably not the best idea. Eagle Eye's preview was super good - and I was excited to see it. However, the premise was a bit too Space Odyssey for me and by like a 1/4 way you already knew what was going to happen and how the rest was going to unfold; a little over done in terms of the plot being the same old same old. The action sequences were pretty awesome though. We literally were laughing at the last scene though. I hope that the writers/directors were going for a sense of irony there. If not, then they were just being ridiculous.
Legal Seafood was disgusting this weekend. Terrible service, a horrible horrible martini, and the calamari wasn't cooked using hot enough oil, so it wasn't crunchy at all - and the squid was overcooked and chewy. Completely disgusting. Scott didn't even get any olives in his dirty martini. WTF? Scott even chased down the waiter in the restaurant at one point after we failed to get his attention any other way. It was ridiculous.
