Dr. Horrible
If you haven't seen Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible in Dr. Horrible's sing-a-long blog you are missing out. Entertaining not only for the fact that Neil Patrick Harris sings the entire thing - who knew Neil Patrick Harris could sing? It's well done and entertaining. Good job to who ever thought of the idea. I would also like to think you for using web media and really breaking out from standard TV studio bullshit. I think it's ridiculous that advertisers don't see the benefit in web videos and TV. I think this is a major step forward to moving from standard broadcast video to well done web based content.
It does feel a bit like when the video camera was first started. All the home grown videos of stupid things, on youtube, it just like some of the stupid home videos that the first video cameras produced. Then slowly but surely there grew to be a small group of people that tried to entertain via video. Think Charlie Chaplan and silent movies. Then as technology progressed, think next gen-internet or fiber to the home type bandwidth, we got sound and higher paid actors, better scripts, and things just snowballed to the multi-million dollar CGI filled fun-bags that we call summer blockbusters today. I think that this Neil Patrick Harris thing - is kind of like that first silent movie. The beginnings of a great thing.
Let me also just comment on the fact that I now have TWO tomatoes growing!!!!! Yeah for tomatoes!
This week has been a bitch at work. The whole 8:30-7pm thing is starting to get old. The problem is that work doesn't even really end when I leave work at 7. I end up coming home, having dinner, then doing the 'urgent' things of the day that didn't happen yet. A lot of my deadlines you could say that I have some time before anything is due. The problem is, that I have to get my shit done, so that other people can complete their shit, and you have to have time for fuckups in the middle or missing the mid-term deadlines. That whole organize your life into urgent and important is pretty freaking difficult when there are a whole lot of important items on the list. Everyone is getting dumped on at the same time too, so part of the problem is that everyone is dumping everything they can off on everyone else. So it's just a big dumping party until someone just drops and item, or it just stays on the back burner forever.
