Diagnose me!
I've been crazily sick since about last Thursday. By crazily sick I don't mean that I've been so horribly sick that I can't move - but rather - a very odd illness that I can't seem to figure out what the fuck I have. So I'm leaving it up to you readers to fucking figure it out for me. So here's what's been going on.
I think this all started about 2 weeks ago with a sore throat and slightly swollen glands. It came on slowly and I just thought it was caused by allergies. Last weekend I had glands so swollen that my ears hurt and I was getting dizzy (think pressure on the inner/middle ear causing the dizziness.) By Monday and lots of rest over the weekend it seemed to get a little better. I still had a slightly sore throat all week - still with the swollen glands. By Thursday night it started getting bad. I was freaking exhausted by the end of the day (it was a really long day at work.) My throat really hurt and my glands were swollen. I felt a little warm - and found my temp was around 99-100 deg. I went to work friday - felt like crap all day - feverish - exhausted - couldn't really think straight. Came home - fever of like 102, huge headache. I took some advil to bring it down a bit. Glands crazy swollen, like the ones underneath your ears - they are so big you can litterally see them stick out of the side of my neck. It hurts like a bitch to sleep on my side. Saturday - felt like crap all day. Saturday woke up - took more advil - fever spiked at about 102.7, then came down. Crazy swollen glands - which now just hurt, tired (like it was a huge effort to walk a block to go to the grocery store to get juice.... normally I walk about 6 or 7 blocks to work, and 6 or 7 blocks back home each day.) Today - woke up actually feeling kind of okay, no fever, glands not too bad, not too sore of a throat, headache kind of moderate, not feeling really exhausted. By noon though - I was feeling back to crap - fever of about 100, horrible headache, super sore throat, glands hurting like a bitch.
The advil seems to help bring down the fever and keep the headache to a less throbbing level, and brings to sore throat to swollowable level.
The weird thing is, I've got no respiratory issues at all. No stuffed up nose, no drainage down the back of my throat, not really sneezey, no lung issues, etc. WTF?
A couple people have guessed things like Meningitis, Mono, or a virus. Now it's your turn to guess!
This could be a show - Mystery Diagnosis! I mean what the fuck am I supposed to do? I know if I make a doctor's appointment none of the symptoms other than the crazy swollen glands will show up while I'm there.
