At least I did it...
Thursdays 'run' went okay. I jogged parts - I walked parts. I should take up running again and get back into shape. Though walking to work I have lost a couple of pounds already.
This has been a bit of a crazy week at work. I found out that the CEO is going to convert the office of the CTO to my office - and apparently is going to move the CTO somewhere else. It's unbelieveable the wasted space in the building and just piss poor planning. But I've also learned that I'm litterally working with a bunch of kids. Most of them this is their first real job out of college. They have no idea what they are doing or how things are done in the industry. Just absolutely clueless. I did get approval for my budget request. Part of the problem is that We still haven't really narrowed down our market focus and who we want to work with. Which in my mind is a major problem. I also think it's a huge problem that we are waiting for people to come to us rather than going to them. The major accounts that we need to win - they don't care about us - they have another supplier that works well enough - why would they switch unless we can help help solve a problem that their current supplier isn't offering. It's amazing how inexperience and just business dumb some of them are, and just complete lack of understanding of what sales does or can do. Plus a lack of understanding of how life works. It's just frustrating listening to their dumbness. I don't think that I can change opinions overnight or just because I say something - I'm going to have to prove that my way is better. Fucking a - I hate putting in tons of time to change internal minds. I'd rather spend that time on customers.
