Asthma Attack
I totally had another asthma attack today when I went running after work. I've been running in hotel gyms lately - no problem with the breathing. Nothing. I went outside today, and wasn't pushing myself beyond what I would normally do inside on a treadmill (probably less than what I do on a treadmill b/c I can't really tell what speed I'm at or for how long...) About 10-15 minutes in I started having the sypthoms. Chest cramping up, wheezy coughing out, physically not capable of filling up my lungs fully with air, horrible horrible cramping - kind of like a 300lb line arm wrestling champion is trying to squeeze your lungs and keep them from expanding, while you try you damndest to get any air into them. So I finished the run, it's not so ridiculous that I have to stop completely, but if I was less fit I would definitely be bend over on the side of the road trying to suck in air. Taking it slower/walking/whatever doesn't help the horrible cramping feeling. I figure if it's not going to stop, and it's not really getting worse, why not just finish my workout?
It's over an hour later and the sympthoms are better - but still here. I hope this doesn't affect my yoga performance tomorrow.
Stupid cold weather. It needs to warm up so I can go on a proper run.
