Iran so Far
I have to say that Andy Samberg is absolutely hilarious and super talented. Who else can come up with classics like "Dick in a Box" and "Iran so far"? I love the fact that he can get celebrities to get involved by not making fun of them - but rather the situation. I want to be as good as my job as he is at his job. Absolutely amazing. I wonder what other things he's good at ... can he do a good weekend update? Or daily show type comedy? I hope song writing isn't his only talent and that we will see more of him in the future.
Speaking of other stuff that was really funny - did anyone catch David Letterman grilling Paris Hilton about being in jail. It was awesome. I'm glad that he knows that she's not famous for anything other than having money. I'm sure she didn't think it was "fair" how he treated her - but it's how anyone else in the world would have been treated. It's not our fault that you were dumb and got caught. I think you got similar treatment to what other people have had to go through.
I was supposed to hear from Boston on Friday - but it turns out that I'm not going to hear anything for another week or two. The reviews have been good - but the CEO needs to sign off... I'm not counting on anything until it actually happens. I want to go and try to find housing ... but I'm afraid that it will jinx me if I start.
I learned today that I'm a Water water Dog in the Chinese Zodiac. I didn't even know that there was an element associated with the animal. Apparently b/c of the year I was born I'm a hot tub bitch.... it's coo' I'm also supposed to be very stubborn and extremely loyal to my friends and family.
D.C. was pretty fun - I got to actually screw around for a while and I went to the national air and space museum. That was pretty amusing. Who doesn't like space and airplanes? I've posted all my pics on my picasa - so go check them out. I've also got the pics from Lauren's wedding (or lack there of) - and Boston up now. I need to go through and edit a lot of them - eventually I'll get there when I start running out of space - or I'll just buy more space if I'm too lazy. I can't imagine it costs that much.
It's amazing how having a little money can solve a lot of problems in life; but can't solve other very simple ones. If you have some cash things like bills and waiting in lines and buying dinner are all really easy. But it doesn't take away any essential character problems. You still are who you are - money won't really make you smarter or prettier (unless you are counting on plastic surgery to do that.) It will only merit you the friends that you're not really interested in having. Who wants people hanging out with them just so that you buy them dinner or whatever? I surely don't. I think that having money would make me doubt the people around me that I didn't know when I didn't have money. How could I trust that these new people didn't just hang out to try to get some "freebees?" Maybe I'm too paranoid or not trusting enough. I guess I don't have enough faith that the world is always a good place. Most of the time yes. Sometimes no.
