Food Allergy?

I didn't think I was allergic to any food item (and it shows) until this weekend. Friday night I made some really tasty linguine with clam sauce. While I was eating it my mouth was tingling a bit - I thought - this is funny - hmmm. Then when I was finished eating it my lips felt a little odd - so I went to go check it out in a mirror. My lips were swollen with some type of weird rash on some small parts. OMG I think I'm allergic. So of course I google it - and apparently a rash is not all that common of a reaction to an allergy. So now I've got to call my doctor on Monday and get it checked out. I just ate scallops last week and NOTHING. Stupid clams. I don't even like clams THAT much. I'm going to be mad pissed if my doctor says I'm allergic to clams and can't have other shell fish. PISSED! I love shellfish. Though this itchy rash is a little annoying...

They running has been going pretty well lately. I'm getting a lot better. Slow but sure wins the race right? I've had three people honk at me in the last three days though. All over-weight men in their 40's or 50's. I feel so gross. These are the old fat pervs that only have about an inch between their waist and the steering wheel. I'm sorry - but I know that I'm not the most attractive person out there - especially when I'm running and all of my jiggle bits are ... well... jiggling. I try to wear clothing that will hide this jiggling as to not offend the general public. However, these guys seem to get their jollies out of it. Gross. It really breaks your concentration too. The scary part is when they circle the block - and try to go slow behind you and then speed up right as you can see them. Creepy! Then act like you won't notice their 1987 rusty ass pick up truck after they honked at you the first time around. Yeah buddy - I did flick you off a second time - and yes I did know that it was you ... again. Fuck off.

Though I did feel a little better this morning going out. Right as I was leaving my building another "runner" (like myself) went by my apartment. It was clear from the first glance that he was struggling a bit and wanted to walk. However, when he saw me in my obvious get-up he wasn't ready to have his slightly chubby bum kicked by a girl - doesn't matter how much extra weight he has. So - he tried to kick it into high(er) gear and outrun me - but I was only walking as a warm up. He looks back a couple times - tries to be inconspicious about the whole thing - to see where I am at. I can see every move - when he thinks he's far enough away that I "can't" catch up to him he finally slows down to a walk. (I was glad - he didn't seem to be doing very well at the end.) Then I turned the opposite way to keep him from any more embarasment. The whole thing was a little funny. I'm sure that we could/would have been pretty equal in the whole thing - and we could have been going running partners actual. But I have a feeling he'd always be a little too competitive for me.

PS to Jess - I do want to go to your wedding - I just want more vacation time so I have time to do EVERYTHING that I want to do. Why do they keep track of stuff like vacation time anyways? (And you're only like one out of the three weddings this year... and Vegas counts as a real vacation right?)
