I updated my Picasa from Christmas. It's just a gross upload -- and I only got about halfway through adding comments. But you may or may not find them amusing.
I thought about driving back to Rochester today, but then decided that it would be a very bad idea. Not because I was hung over so much, as because I don't want to have to drive anywhere. I don't want to admit that my vacation is over, the new year has started, and I need to actually try to complete my resolutions for the new year. So, I've only gotten as far as starting my laundry and pilling up my stuff.
New years was pretty chill... we didn't really do much. Hung out at Joe & Jamie's, drank, ate, met some random people, saw Andy & Kate. I have to admit that watching people play the Wii was freaking HILARIOUS! Boxing is especially amusing. I wish I would have taken video of it just so that when life starts to suck -- you can pull out the Video and laugh at it. Got a few phone calls & text messages at mid-night -- typically New Year's stuff. I should probably call some of the people that I haven't talked to in the next couple of days, just to see how their lives are going. Other than that, it was a pretty early night - we all left Joe's at like 2am. And no, I'm still not going to say what Joe's brother said, just let it be, he's only an 18 year old and he was mad pissed (as in drunk -- not angry.)
Anyone else getting married this year that I should know about? I need to know now so that I can plan my vacation appropriately. Joe's in in April, Lauren's in August... anyone else? Anyone?
I have to say it was a rather nice break. I got some time to just relax and chill, had a few good nights out boozing. Got some nice stuff for Christmas. All and all it was a good break. Though I can't say that I'm looking forward to going back to work. It's all really kind of annoying to have to go back and put up with crap that I shouldn't have to deal with. It's amazing how far people thing they can get away with shit. I think that they under estimate me and my shit bucket. Some people have a large shit bucket and can take a lot of it. I have a rather small one (think shot glass sized) and can put up with very little. Patience is a lost art on me, you're supposed to have it or learn it or something -- but clearly that never worked very well on me.
I have to say that this Christmas did really show one thing to me. How far technology has come. It was a very electronica Christmas with Ipods, digital camera, computers, Nintendo, and DVD's. I think I got the most non-electronic stuff -- with a few DVDs. My mom got a freaking Nintendo DS. My mom -- you know 51 year old woman.
I guess I should go try to finish some laundry and read a book. I bought Emma over break -- I've read quite a few other Jane Austen novels, and really enjoy the stupidity and hilarity of upper-crust England -- they are great escapist novels. I guess that's probably the kind of book I like to read the most -- escapisms. I'm only a couple chapters in though because I keep getting distracted by people. But today my brothers have mostly just been playing WoW - so there haven't been as many disruptions.
