The CEO of my Company is an Ass... Wipe
There is a tragic storry that I must tell (well... I don't really have to -- but I'm going to vent about it anyways.) Thursday of last week I ask my boss for Tuesday off (because I'm lazy and don't want to have to deal with the holiday traffic on Monday.) He says "I don't see a problem with that has long as your counterpart is planning on working." Sweet -- he is -- I get Tuesday off WOOHOO. Then Friday morning rolls around. The CEO heard about it and told my boss that I couldn't have the day off because it wasn't sufficent notice and it wasn't an emergency. Ok... so I can see that ... if there was no direct back up... or you didn't just say two weeks ago about how you needed to raise company morale.... I'm just waiting for the phone call from him about somethign completely assinine on Tuesday morning at about 10 after 8 -- just to check to see if I'm in. What a fucking asshole. To me -- I would think that you'd want to give your employees some slack and occassionally give them some flexibility in when they are taking the day off (it's not like I don't still have two weeks of paid vacation left that I need to use this year or anything....) And he wonders why company morale is in the pits. Hmmm I dont' know.... can't figure it out.
And why the fuck is the CEO concerned about if I take a day off or not? How is that going to directly affect him or the company? I don't understand. Just another one to put on the "con" list of working there. Fucking retarded asshole CEO -- CHECK!
Not that it's a huge deal -- but he says one thing and then acts another way. Talk about two faced -- and this is not the only instance shit like this has happened.
When I asked my boss what sufficent notice is -- he said a week would probalby be good. I have that in writing.
One of the guys I work with says that the CEO probably thinks that I want to go on a job interview -- and that's why I'm not allowed to have the time off. I wouldn't put it past him.
This weekend wasn't very interesting. I went to dinner at my Gram's -- played horseshoes -- then today my grandfather came over as we were just startign to make lunch. He had gotten a contact stuck in the back of his eye and he came over to ask my mom to get it out. Even I think that's weird and I've known the man my whole life.
