OCD? I think so...

So today was boring ... another crappy interview candidate .. and yes this was the same one as the Mini-V post a few days ago. I first asked him to describe his attention to detail skills. His response "oh... I have excellent attention to detail." Me: "interesting..." Him: Why's that. Me: Because I found a number of spelling and grammatically errors on your webpage. *Insert pregnant pause Him: That's embarrasing....

For you it was embarrasing... and one of my cube buddies found another spelling error in his portfollio he brought along... dun dun dun.... yeah definately out of the candidate pool.

So at lunch my Cube Mate and I decided that going back to work was a bad idea ... and that neither of us felt like it. Since I had been lusting after an African Violet Pot and Home Depot was super close by ... we went there to buy one. Well... me having OCD -- not only did I buy my dying African Violet a Pot. .. I bought an Afrian Violet and pot to put on my desk at work... another violet and pot for home ... and another houseplant and cute pot for home.... I can't even keep my one African Violet alive... how am I going to keep 3 alive + this new house plant? What is my problem? At least they all have cute pots. I hope these African Violet Pots work -- it seems like a good idea -- though it's still not fool proof -- much less me proof. Some people have a green thumb -- I lust after a green thumb -- but my always appears to be brown instead of green.

I also bought some fertilizer in hopes that will help keep my plants alive too. Somehow I think these plants are going to end up like every other plant in my life -- dead and dehydrated. Clearly this is why I could not have any children... they might end up dead and dehydrated ... at least children scream when they want something ... plants just sit there chilling -- you never know what they want or need!

She also got an African Violet and pot and we got some African Violet potting soil (clearly all of these specialized items for an African Violet -- definately wasn't using them ... I didn't even know they existed... which might be why mine wasn't doing so hot....) and proceeded to plant our plants in the new pots in the parking lot. The CTO definately came out in the middle to go to lunch -- and just looked as us oddly -- but kept walking. He knows we're up to no good -- but nothign bad either -- I think he'd just rather not know most days...

The Office Manager has these GORGIOUS ones in an African Violet Pot -- I'm so jealous of her plant abilities. I'm hoping these added tools will keep mine alive -- and that they will actually bloom! I never thought house plants could be so difficult.

I definatley got an automatic feeder for the fish tank. Now my only daily responsibility is turing on the light... I think I might get a timer for that as well... then I can just clean the tank every two weeks or so ... then I won't have to do much... ultimate lazyness....

Amazing Race is on got to go watch ... I really want the Hippies or the Old couple to win this one
