Again.... & Again
The downfalls of my company that just come up again and again are misscommunication/lack of communication. No one ever really knows what is going on. No one tells you anything -- and things always seem to come as a suprise. It's hard to do good work when you are not getting feedback.
Prime example -- I over hear a manager saying my name with something like "I'll talk to her." Ten minutes later I get an email -- before you talk to this person please talk to me first. Um.. Okay -- but that doesn't solve anything. Now we just make the customer wait longer. Why don't people want to fill me in. If I did something wrong let me know. If you want me to pose questions differently -- let me know. I am still learning -- I have never displayed the lack of willingness to change. I just don't understand why people don't fully explain things. It's hard to get any better at your job when you think you are doing things correctly -- but apparently you're not and no one will tell you what you did wrong -- or tell you how to do it right. I don't understand nor am I going to try to.
