Weekend Update (not as funny as the SNL version)
FURITURE! I bought a couch and a chair this weekend -- so in 6-8 weeks I should be the proud owner of real furniture. I still have a lot more stuff to buy to make it look like a real place -- but it's a step in the right direction.
Then I got the oil changed in my car (opsy! it went over an extra like 500+ miles -- it was a lot of highway driving so it's okay right?). Then I bought some layering clothes for my ski trip this weekend (yeah.... the weekend of my birthday spent with my parents.... perfect.... just where I want to be). Which I probably won't need them because it's supposed to be like 40 degrees F and raining. I guess we'll watch a movie? Roast some marshmellows?
I did a lot of cleaning -- my appartment finally looks like not a slob lives there. I didn't get to doing my laundry yet -- I think that's on the plate for tonight. I went to the gym -- everyday it gets a little easier to run -- and I can go a little longer and a little faster. Slowly but surely the tortise will win the race.
I'm excited about training for a marathon -- though I'm sure it's going to take me the full 2 years to be ready for it. It would be totally awesome to be able to do it. Yeah for having a big goal!
