Dumb
I get asked the dumbest questions at work -- by people who should know better -- people who work here. It really agrivates me that I have to do everyone's dirty work. Just because you don't want to be the bad guy and tell someone "no" don't make me do it ALL the time. I waste so much time telling someone "no -- we dont' have that -- and no we won't make it for you." When anyone else who is answering the phones could do the same thing. I don't know why I get tasked with doing it. At first it is fun, but lately it has been starting to grate on my nerves. I guess I'm just in a mid-winter slump.
I'm really amazed at some people at my gym -- some of them really lift a lot of weight -- and do a lot of exercise. It's amazing! I'm still -- sadly -- in pretty bad shape -- hopefully that will change in the next few months. I'm glad that the New Year's resolution season is coming to a close -- no longer do I have to wait for machines or get kicked off after precisely 30:00. I love it. It makes me sad though, that all those people went to join a gym -- started going -- then stopped. Please come back people and try to get yourself in shape and healthier! Please! I know I'm annoyed when you clog everything up and don't know how to use anything -- but you need to keep coming!
Oh -- and to the teenaged girl who clearly didn't know how to use the triceps machine -- it's not designed to be used as a total upper body/shoulder workout -- it's only supposed to work your triceps -- and when that older man came over and explained how to use it -- he wasn't trying to embarasse you -- he was only trying to help you not get injured. If the trainers weren't both so busy they would have come over. Trust me -- everyone could notice how you weren't using it correctly -- didn't you watch anyone in front of you? If you can't do that much weight properly -- then knock the weights down a bit -- it's nothing to be ashamed of -- no one can do 40lbs to begin with on their triceps. Start out at like 8 or 10lbs and work your way up. They do have individual appointments for newbs -- they're really helpful -- and they'll even help you set up a whole exercise program around your goals -- tis' nice -- sign up at the front desk.
