Work Sucks

Work sucks right now. I'm doing things a trained monkey could -- and one of my co-workers is trying to foist her work on me b/c "it would save a lot of time" -- yeah her time not mine. And which one of us is making more money? Oh I think it's me the 22 year old university grad -- not you the 35 year old doing the work of a trained monkey.

And why am I doing the work of a trained monkey? Oh that's b/c they haven't hired all the people they need yet to have the company function well ... and it just keeps getting busier. Saying we're short staffed is an under statement. Where do all the jobs fall that everyone else is too busy to handle => ME. Where do most of the jobs of everyone who's left in the last month => ME. Who's begining to get frusterated by the fast paced crazyness => ME. At least two more people are going to be hired on in the next week. The most amusing part of this? I've only been there like a month! I can say that I've learned a lot in the last month.

I'm glad I get to go home for the weekend. At least I'll have a little time to relax and I won't be bored by myself for three days. Though I did realize that I bought bean sprouts at the grocery store a couple nights ago and I have a feeling they're not going to be pretty when I get back. Opsy!

It kinda sucks that Jess can't come too -- but shit happens. I think my mom would have been really amused by Jess. Ah Cette la vie!

My upstairs neighboor really drives me up the wall -- hence lack of sleep b/c he keeps me up a lot of nights -- meaning I'm dumber and more frusterated at work every day. But I don't know how much I can say to him. He makes a lot of noise b/c he rolls his computer chair across the room -- but he kinda has to b/c he broke his leg. Which I'm sure was completely his own fault -- as he's kinda a dumb ass and seems high all the time. But it does make me aweful sleepy!

Even after this month I still have around $500 in my account (of course pre trip home with all the gas). This is good. I wanted to save at least $500 a month so that I can save $600 by the end of the year for my down payment on a house. And I really only got paid for three weeks this month -- so next month it should be even easier to save that $500 a month. I'm really excited about getting a house, I've started reseraching areas that I think I might want to live. Where I really want to live is somewhere with cheap gas prices but I don't think that's going to happen. Oh well...
