I'm too perfect!
I guess I'm too good at my "temporary" job. Because it seems that I may be a more premanant fixture in this position. As my boss told me, he was looking for someone who could "do at least as good a job as Colleen." Great... I guess I didn't screw around enough, or mess up enough, b/c now I'm stuck with this job -- which I think is actually more interesting than what I was supposed to be doing. But-- I'm only get paid for the job I was hired for, not the job I'm actually doing now. So if it is confirmed that I am doing this on a more permanant basis I think we're going to have a little discussion about my wages. hehehe. I like money.
I really like what I'm doing, both because I get to do some technical stuff, but it's not so difficult, or so boring that I'm completely uninterested. Some of it is definately just blah blah blah, this is so boring stuff, but it has it's moments too. And I get to interface with a lot of different parts of the company which is fun, because you really get to learn how a company is run. Which is always interesting. And it's nice because of the people I work with, and my ideas are listened to -- even when I am just whining. Yeah life is good.
I felt really crappy yesterday and just screwed around as much as possible at work, then went home and just layed on the sofa all night watching today. I hate being such a bum, but what else can you do when you don't feel well?
I love the fact that I get to talk to British guys all day with their o-so-cute accents. The one guy that always calls me has the super cute super posh accent. The problem is that I met him earlier this week -- so sad -- he's like 5'3" -- I was totally picturing like 5'11". And his little work buddy -- who I had always thought did not sound half as cute on the phone was like 6'3". It totally sucks when the way you picture someone is not how they look. Poor me. At least I can still listen to his voice and dream of my 5'11" fantasy man. *sigh* Maybe one day I'll shrink and we could be the perfect fantasy couple.
Well off to more work.
