Driving Me Nuts!

Driving really is a stressfull situation for me. For most people, it can be a little annoying, for me it's a full otu war against all the other stupid drivers. It's a battle to have people drive properly and be considerate. For the sake of arguement I'll define considerate as not cutting people off, not moving in front of faster moving traffic, and not having a car that eats as much gas as a 747 during take-off. (Granted the last one has nothing to do with actual driving habits, but rather personality and personal choice.)

Given my strick definition of considerate most people on the road are major assholes. I don't think it's that much to ask to say that someone who is moving slower than me should not purposefully get into the lane in front of me if they can not pass the person they're trying to pass before my bumper is on their ass. Do I feel as if I need to take off the cruise-control from it's steadly 75mph just b/c you can't get your ass in gear and go 5 mph over the speed limit? Either shit of get off the pot. Pass the guy or get back in your lane. It just annoys the crap out of me when some old guy from flordia of all places says in the left lane going exactly the speed limit riding directly next to a semi with three trailors. Get out of my way.

On short trips people's inconsiderate nature usually doesn't both me, but when I'm having to drive for 6 hours -- any delay could add another 10 minutes to my trip. I don't like being confined to such a small space for so long -- so get out of my way so that I can get out of my car at my destination faster. Any extra gas, tolls, tickets etc is toally worth it to me to be able to get out of my car 20 minutes sooner. That's 20 minutes of my life that I get back b/c I wasn't driving in the car during it. Is that worth gong over the speed limit and using more gas b/c I'm not driving at an "ideal" speed? HELLS YES. So, next time you see that really pissedd off girl singing at the top of her lungs driving 75mph on I-80 please remember that I dont' like being locked in small spaces, and you're getting out of my way gets me out of my car sooner = happier me.

On a less angry note, this weekednd at home was nice, I got to eat food I didn't have to cook, do my laundry without having to sit and wait for it to be finished, and then got to sleep on a really crappy mattress on the floor like I"m a really really poor college student that couldn't even afford a second hand bed. Oh well.

I think i just broke the light on my make-shift night stand. I think I'm going to have to go out tomorrow and buy a new lamp. I can't stand not having a lamp next to my bed. I think it's still no tax "weekend" in NY.
